There's an inherent danger to inflating balloons, given that they'll float up to the stratosphere and explode.

The Einhänder? No dice. How it got inflated while on the surface remains a mystery, but it ain't outta the game yet. One the Schwarzgeist is bound to lose.

An Einhänder (from the titular PS1 title), inflated to utterly *massive* proportions, its own body casting a shadow upon itself, dwarfing the Schwarzgeist mere inches from it's bloated form. There's a glint of light running across the Einhänder's visor; it is cocky, and it will win. It will be humbled, and it will humble heaven. The scene itself takes place within the stratosphere... the dividing line between Earth and Heaven. The picture itself is remarkably blue, betrayed only by the lights, markings, and the Moon from which this machine flew from. There's also a few of the Einhänder's victims, slowly floating their way up from their time on the surface. Artist's Notes: jesus christ, the artistic muse for this one felt like it took its sweet time getting here, but when it struck, it struck at the worst possible time. Turns out, this new job ain't great for finding time to draw! Believe me when I say that this was worth every second I poured into this piece. This entire piece was one big experimental extravaganza. My previous attempt at "lineless" art still cheated a few lines in here and there, but this? Nah, all lighting and shading. Normally do my artwork completely aliased to make coloring easier? This one's all paintbrush, baby. "Gouache", used to be a default brush with CSP, dunno if it's still in there. Still used other brushes, namely with the more micro details (that sharp shine, Schwarzgeist's lights, etc.) Ironically, it's the background that's aliased, while the main subjects themselves are painted. The effect is probably crude, but... well, something for next time. All this motivation, because of a funny April Fool's piece where someone inflated Ramael from NGE. i dont want to be in a fandom that critisizes the choices of fictional characters like they are human beings. i want to see THEORY and ANALYSIS and STORY STRUCTURE and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!! I WANT PARALLELS AND MOTIFS AND VISUAL CUES!!! The commisssioner, Ssalvass, taking on a Lugia form. They're also EXTREMELY widened outwards, but only from the belly of the beast. Their limbs are unpuffed, but that's only a small comfort, as their body has been blown up so much, entire beams of light are streaking out from their very form, implying that they've gone past their limit. Ssalvass can only look on in shock and awe at their own body, stretching past the size of mountains. Oh! And the sky is red. Ominous. There's also a radar stationed on top of one of the mountains, pointed directly at Ssalv.
