Jenny is in full donut mode

Spent 2 hours with some lovely and hard working friends and we cleaned out the basement. Getting somewhere!

Miss Jenny has new clothes

A french seam would probably be too bulky for heavy coating.

I think the lapped seam is like a flat felled seam, but with the felling to the interior. Depending on the fabric you might be able to get away without turning the interior layer and just stitching it down over the underlayer, but generally it would be turned to conceal the raw edges.
