COVID and flu on Tuesday - CVS in Dover NH. They asked if I was high risk, I said yes and was allowed to make an appointment. No issue when I was there.

That's brilliant. Unfortunately I think my sock losing habit occurs prior to laundry, when I take off said socks and then they escape under the bed to hang with the dust bunnies, or end up in the ball point pen dimension somehow. Maybe I could implement laundry bags at the point of sock removal...

It is - there are sound transmission requirements between units in current building codes. But they might not be enough, rely on proper detailing/caulking joints etc, and don't apply to older buildings. But they are trying! New apartment buildings often have double stud walls for sound attenuation

Same! I really like slowloris.com for what I think of as "art shirts" - nice image, no words.

I was able to get it in January by calling every pharmacy around - the only place that stocked it was Walmart. Then they wanted $1200 when I got there, and didn't even know there was a Pfizer coupon until I started googling whether it was worth taking standing in the aisle, so it ended up being free

I think there is a social argument for gender segregated sports, because of patriarchal pressures on girls. But that's an argument for including trans kids not excluding them. The "men are inherently stronger" argument isn't true, but it's particularly not true when talking about kids.

Ahh she looks like my Jenny, also a lab pitty mix. She's very sweet and a little lunatic, and comes to work with me a few days a week. I'm glad my life was settled enough to have her when she came

Except a Honda Fit because non tariff trade barriers made it impractical to import to the US 😭

What that's huge! And it reduces periods, which would be super helpful for lots of folks. Birth control that doesn't require precise timing, reduces/eliminates periods, and doesn't have the negative side effects of hormonal contraception? Sign me up.

I find writing such a different thing than typing, particularly when taking notes. Hand written notes record the information in my brain in a way that typed notes just don't.

Also team fountain pen all the way!

And they were hugely effective. You can't take a photo of the march and claim it was anything else, since everyone was wearing pink. With Trump lying about crowd sizes left and right, having it be really fucking clear who was in that crowd was really important.

My birth certificate says I was born at 12:01 AM. But I was born at home so I think it's probably something of a guess by the midwife anyway.

Particularly in the age of google maps! I was in London in 2011 and found the tube way easier to navigate than the bus system, just because there was so much more to the buses. But now you can get maps directions for your particular route with various options. It's a joy!
