The final build of Joe in that Hemlock Run. Joe is much more fun than I thought he'd be, and even though you have to dedicate some Mythos slots, so be it. This build works quite well, but is a bit of a setup nightmare (hence the Ever Vigilants) #ahlcg #arkhamhorror

This was my final Dexter list of my recent run of Hemlock. Nothing particularly interesting to see here, I think that literally any build for Dexter - whether it's Astral Body, Pole or Sign Magic - is more interesting than this. But "this" is still strong. 6/10, wouldn't play this list again though.

Man, the Hemlock finale is a mess. So many poor decisions taken. I can't explain to myself how the energy went into designing a completely unnecessary prelude and then four version of the scenario which are all mainly boring...

norman from the edge run. it gets clues good at any stage of the and plays a deduction loop with atlas & livre. it uses the same loop to keep charges on its fighting spells. it's really strong, as normans tend to be. #ahlcg #arkhamhorror

this was the Mark that I played through The Edge of the Earth. it's main job is fighting and it tries get some clues with crowbar and a stick to the plan winging it. works pretty well, mark has a base 5 combat. Girish and Sophie close to inifite unexpected courages.

sometimes i think about how hard it would be to build an arkham digital application and i smehow think that AHLC Online would be doable if you wanted to build it.

Mix that with having to run the map back-and-forth three times and wasting multiple actions running into dead ends, and you've got yourself a loss in 11 rounds. Which, to be fair, 11 rounds really isn't a slim doom timer.

Dexter managed to get 0 clues of his first two Clairvoyance charges and then failed to find another Clue-spell until he was 21 cards into the deck. Plus Joe managed to mess up four 6-to-4 test in a row to then blow a 7-to-4 test with a Deduction commited.

It's been a while since I got a full losing resolution, but I straight up lost The Lost Sister today. Just incredibly unlucky randomness on the caves I flipped combined with a ghastly mistake to not pre-scout the three caves that are there turn 1.

I've played this scenario four times now, and I'm sure I made hundreds of rules violations every time, especially with the bear's movement.

I ran The Longest Night today. The scenario is really hard, really really hard, but this time Joe was shining. Man, Surival Knife is a good card in a scenario where you draw two enemies every turn. Dexter whiffed on the Hammers and played full cluever instead. Blur was a good choice to include.

We played the first part of Heart of Madness yesterday. Both Mark and Norman are quite strong at this point. The 6 fight plasma dudes are still tough, but Mark's balling through that, and Norman had a stellar showing, in no small part thanks to the resolute version of Eliah.

Currently playing Dexter and Joe in a run of Hemlock Vale. Joe is fine, he doesn't die, helps Dexter find his stuff, gets a clue here or there and kills small enemies. Dexter is incredibly strong, it's kinda ridiculous.
