Colombia has declared all of the Colombian parts of the Amazon a “reserve for renewable natural resources” in which drilling and large-scale mining will no longer be permitted. That’s a vast swathe covering 42% of Colombia, an area larger than California!

Good move to step away from Microsoft. However, the article is claiming that Khan’s account was disabled by Microsoft, this is correct with one note: it was on the request of his own office/person, at least that was the news went it happened. Not 100% sure but a source would be nice in the article.

I finally did it: I’ve become an MPSE member. Very happy to be accepted in a group of professionals and wizards in storytelling with sound.

i’ve wondered whether the traditional tactic of peaceful resistance to shock the conscience of observers who see nonviolence met with force is still possible in a media environment where only novelty can get the attention of the people you need to be shocked, and portland seems to have an answer

Germany (amongst others) has to veto #chatcontrol from being made law in the #EU. This is just a commercial enterprise by #thorn cloaked as a sincere idea. We need #privacy online and #encryption is essential.
