I think a plot device that should get used a lot more is when someone unseen has a gender-ambiguous name and then a character is really surprised when they meet the person. "Jesse-- you're a WOMAN?" etc. This has thrilled and delighted audiences for decades and is always a welcome treat.

I enjoyed Pitchfork's 100 Best Rap Albums list but I was reading through it going "wow I guess they're putting Camp Lo pretty high on the list" and then even when I got to the very end I was still like "oh my god, these absolute legends are putting Camp Lo at #1"

i used it a lot at twitch and it's very easy-to-use for simple stuff but also incredibly half-baked in very important ways. you'd have to pop the hood and get into the API for the simplest stuff sometimes
