With Eric Adams dropping out, let’s remember the craziest low-stake moment of his time in the spotlight: when he named the concert where Curtis Mayfield was paralyzed *before* getting to sing a note as the best concert he’s ever been to.

From a 2021 Vanity Fair interview:

At that concert there was a rainstorm and the lights fell on Curtis Mayfield and they actually paralyzed him at that concert. He died a few years ago, but it was an amazing concert before that happened. Just so unfortunate. »

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great because it’s at once the most Billy Joel album and the most 12 years old Billy’s ever been on an album.

It's a given in the music industry that "I've fallen in love!" albums are usually regrettable, and "I've gotten a divorce!" ones often have some of the artist's best work. So question for the group, what are the best "I've fallen in love!" albums?

It’s funny, I sort of have the same reaction whenever people tell me that I should watch Succession—I don’t especially feel like watching the trials and tribulations of wealthy media magnates right now (whether they’re depicted as petty and incompetent or not).

There’s absolutely a case for Sarah McLachlan to be inducted into the RRHOF as a performer on the strength of her music, but as the Lilith Fair doc shows you could make just as strong a case for her as a non-performer (and the sports HOF term of « builder » would be absolutely fitting).
