"Bond Girl of Screenwriting", serial overreacher, ill-advisedly candid political economist

Adventures in writing, money, power and war (and Kittenz) 🖋️⚔️🌎😼🏦
Feeling really happy and relaxed for the first time in months after that 🥰

Now watching this, and I'm sorry, but I'm actually really enjoying it, perfect balance of cuddly, cheesy and huggable with action movie touches. Terrible but I'm enjoying it 🥰

I should do a stuck in traffic rainfall exhibition

Apres moi le deluge

Study in rainfall (aka "stuck in traffic in the pouring rain and bored")

Quasi elite broadsheets complaining the BBC no longer represents the popular views of hard working ordinary Brits because it makes Strictly and the Traitors instead of highbrow content about ancient Rome and Shakespeare is... one hell of a take.

May have changed my mind about the dress again

Mebbe this one
November 11, 2025 at 5:29 PM
So, the problem with the BBC is it's out of touch with the common people, so should be making highbrow elitist content for elites instead of the western hemisphere's most popular shows like Traitors, watched by a majority of the UK population?

Cool, cool, makes total sense

🤦🏼‍♀️

Not for glory
Self
Or war

But to take a stand

Against hatred, malice and a world devoid of love

To say, and stand, and die, to hold this thin and fragile and broken line

The boundary

Between light

And darkness

And that beyond this line

The shadows will not fall

Not to point out the obvious

But 007 is not his name. It's his number

Played by different actors

Just put in a new bloke starting on his first day on the job as 007, promoted from the RN

Not complicated, people

Spending the vast sum I get for this delivery run in the pub after 🤤

Perfect size pork roast 🥰

Well earned after three hours walking and carrying heavy packs

Magazine deliveries a bit more rewarding than RM training 😂

Finally got the energy together for local magazine deliveries

This is my absolute perfect weather, balmy 12 degrees, skip of a wind, scudding silver clouds and the scent of petrichor 🥰❤️

But still just not feeling the drive

This quote from a British general visiting America in the 1860s still valid today, and never gets old

Oh God, I want to wear the newspaper! 🤩

I love my ombre, but if anyone has a spare Moschino crinoline newspaper ballgown lying around, I'll take that instead

Yes, I do sleek and sophisticated. It's my trademark

But I WANT to wear the outrageous

Been to my PT at the gym and lost some calories. I can't find them anywhere so have had to buy some new ones on my way home.

Hanging with Mr Sewell. Well, he was there

Such wild & wonderful worlds, through which I have ventured, when first to paper laid my pen

The screens, the bars, of frustrated dreams, the subtle pains of art

Here amid mundane desperation, surviving,

The glory of the human heart

War heritage, things that fly, and movie making, all in one place

Designed to warm this gal's heart

Always impressive every time I pass it

(Cardington, Airship Hangars, now, Cardington Studios you may recognise (well, not from the outside) from Star Wars Rogue One or Batman Dark Knight)

This is the best thing on TV I've seen in years whether for kids or grown ups. Decent script, two main leads very, very good actors, few cheesy emotional script moments that overdo it, but otherwise I genuinely have no idea why this didn't get the viewers, it's beautifully done

In sequence:

I have a waistline, I'd like to still show that while I still have it, thanks

I don't think this is quite office suitable

I don't even know what that is, or how to wear it

Nice shape. Boring. Yes, I can wear WITH something stylish, but that rather defeats the whole point

Depends which tansy you need, tansy makes a very nice addition to Easter cakes, tansy royal would be pretty lethal

Costumes on deck really bothered me

There are days on period dramas I want to grab costume designers by the lapels and scream at them til it's drilled into them:

"MEN, HAT, GLOVES, CANE (cane til 1930s)"

"WOMEN, HAT, GLOVES, HANDBAG, RIGHT UP TO THE 1970s"

Aston, darling. The Aston Martin.

Vantage, specifically.
