Yep

That glorious sense of satisfaction also when it's finally, finally done?

Never had that either, just feels like I've gone through Hell in a small canoe and it's hours or my life I'll never get back, and all that's waiting for me next week is another fucking admin task.
you know how people always say "oh haha I put off doing this admin task for ages and ages and turns out it was fine and took no time"

well I put off doing *this* admin task for weeks and actually it fucking sucks and it's taking soooo long, it's hateful, so there

Shittification and shareholder return

A rehash of an old thread

Why is everything crap. Well, here we learn why Adam Smith was an early Marxist, in that though he had great faith in markets

He had zero faith in merchants

And the reason why, is why no one answers your helpline

So, the problem with the BBC is it's out of touch with the common people, so should be making highbrow elitist content for elites instead of the western hemisphere's most popular shows like Traitors, watched by a majority of the UK population?

Cool, cool, makes total sense

Not for glory
Self
Or war

But to take a stand

Against hatred, malice and a world devoid of love

To say, and stand, and die, to hold this thin and fragile and broken line

The boundary

Between light

And darkness

And that beyond this line

The shadows will not fall

John Le Carre was right about the British establishment and how the alumni of the best schools will sell out their own country for status and money and in particular a desperate desire for American attention

Not to point out the obvious

But 007 is not his name. It's his number

Played by different actors

Just put in a new bloke starting on his first day on the job as 007, promoted from the RN

Not complicated, people

Overall, this bodes badly for the quality of film and television output. There has been a marked decline in it across most large studios of late, and telling markets "we are going to cut production talent in an output" is not something a healthy media organisation would brag about
This current trend for companies to only make shareholder profits by endless mergers and cost stripping is a stark, stark red warning klaxon that their underlying business models are shot. Shareholder return merger cuts show an org is prioritising dividends over output quality.
Paramount “said in a letter to shareholders it plans an additional 1,600 job cuts as part of a goal to achieve at least $3 billion in cost savings.”

I really should've gone shopping today

Fridge is completely empty. Curse of ADHD and working 100 miles away twice a week. There is no time to fill fridges and when you do it just goes off again

There may be a knack to it

If there is

I do not have it

Perfect size pork roast 🥰

Well earned after three hours walking and carrying heavy packs

Magazine deliveries a bit more rewarding than RM training 😂

I love my ombre, but if anyone has a spare Moschino crinoline newspaper ballgown lying around, I'll take that instead

Yes, I do sleek and sophisticated. It's my trademark

But I WANT to wear the outrageous

Interesting paper! When you ask people about the most important issue "facing the country," they often say immigration. But when you ask them about issues facing them personally, it doesn't crack the top 10.

This indicates that voters are reacting to media narratives, not their own experience.

Use "OTT" for your next party dress code
