Whelp, the boy is done. I’m currently full of myself because I am SO proud of this one. I wish you could see how the gold shines as you look at it at different angles. Especially on the eyes. I’ve got to frame him to put him in the local Art Guild show, and then I get him back in September. #art

Here’s an update on my Raven! I’ve re-worked the eyes, added white colored pencil highlights, and added a gold glaze to the frame. Next up is the key and I’m considering adding gold glaze to the eyes. #art #drawing #raven

Small update! Meant to wait & work on the frame & focus mainly on the bird, but I had an idea for the details along the edge. Have to work on the eyes & figure out the feathers around them. Also playing around w/ some gold paint & a glazing medium to glaze the frame.

I’m so bad at keeping up with posting on social media. I’m more of a lurker these days. But here’s a WIP of my latest drawing. Graphite and (eventually) white colored pencil on 16X12” Strathmore gray toned paper. Might eventually add gold leaf to the frame as well.
