Trump does not have the power to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico beyond the borders of the U.S. While internationally it will be referred to as the Gulf of Mexico, a name that has been used for roughly 400 years, Americans will now refer to it as the "Gulf of Mexico, oops, I mean, America."

I just found out that one of my best friends, who no longer lives near me, voted for Trump. She outlined her reasoning, which I partly understood. I responded with love. She is a good, highly educated person whom I respect. While I am disappointed with her choice, I love her all the same.
