I want to share my experience today with Google support, trying to get Gemini (their AI/plagiarism machine) turned off in my Google workspace account. That account is where I personally do all my work communication—I am an editor, and most of my work contracts explicitly ban any use of Generative AI
Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, has bent the knee to Trump.
Sure, you can ditch Instagram, avoid Facebook, and never bother creating a TikTok account. But I'm guessing a lot folks have a Gmail account. That means Google can read your emails & Google Docs, see your family photos in GDrive, etc.

I cannot stress this enough: anytime I see a piece of entertainment--be it a podcast, video thumbnail, novel, TV show or movie--that has a cover that is clearly AI generated, I block it (if available) and do not engage. Period.

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
