I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read about someone doing something that seemed to require a billion dollars worth of confidence or having an experience that i don’t think I’ve ever had that made me feel “I’m not cool enough for this shit.” Or something like that.

My friend suggested I play Felvidek, an indie (j)RPG game featuring a drunken Slovakian knight fighting knaves and weirdos in the 15th century. The game is delirious and delightfully weird. I already love the retro art style and how the characters hurl expletives at each other in ye olde English.

Young people won't remember this, but there was a time when you could just play the Sims by clicking the icon with 'the Sims' on your desktop and it just booted up, without making you log in past three or four different EA players.
