i wouldn't normally blow my own horn but i was quite excited to see an official kc endorsed dance mix, from one of my favourite albums also, and terribly disappointed when i heard it.

It might be time for a re-read, and definitely time for a first play of the 1992 text adventure adaptation

It's an odd feeling because I don't actually know where I stand on the book! Although I read it maybe 6 or 7 times in my teens I was never sure if I liked it or not, probably because the main character is distinctly unlikeable in a way that I don't think I had encountered before.

a proper gradient editor too now, small things but tbh they are going to be game-changing in terms of improving the backgrounds and having more variety in the palette

body text really just reads like a caveat so IF anybody complains they can say "we're not lying, see we clearly said that..." knowing full well that the headline has already done all the damage necessary.

yeah it was healing for 1 each time lol because i am so smart that taking damage and restoring hp both use the same "modify hitpoints" code path.

it's been interesting watching the landscape change. 10 years ago using linux as my daily driver was unthinkable, both in terms of the software i need and of the hardware support for audio devices. So much has changed now that i think it's quite doable.
