CBT has some helpful tools, but it does not work as a philosophy of life. Every time in either therapy or my CBT skills class we talk about something since... Let's say January, as a worrying thing and the answer is pretty much " but is it happening right now? Is that actually very realistic?"

Lobby to the Department of Mental Health is packed today and everyone is chatting like they're best buds. Jeez, don't they know we're all supposed to be sitting in uncomfortable silence due to self loathing and social anxiety? A couple of the staff are even hanging out and *enabling* this behavior!

Seeing liberals abandoning trans people like it was the reason they're losing elections is so pathetic. It's neoliberal capitalism and bombing children overseas that's turning people away not "wokeness".

Looks bad but the Supreme Court has made clear, in decisions (Skilling, McDonnell, Percoco) and by conduct (Thomas, Alito), that bribery is legal, so 🤷♂️

every time we get news abt clarence thomas being deeply unserious i think about him lying for years about his sister being a welfare queen who was indoctrinating her children into welfare dependency and the entire time she was working two jobs and her kids were either employed or still in school
