I love you.
Incoming pardon. Is this the deep state that was rigged against Trump?

I just realized that we sometimes call highways "freeways" because they don't have tolls. So they are the "free way" to get somewhere.

I've really disliked Biden's (And Obama's I guess) response to the war in Ukraine. I'm glad for what he has been doing, but the US support should have been full throttle from day one.

Guys like Putin and Trump only understand and respect strength.
OK, obviously thank you to Biden's administration. Very much long awaited and needed help.
But fucking hell... We got fed de-escalation nonsense and no can't dos for more than a year.
Just for them to speed run it now before Trump gets into the office. Wild world.

We're in very, very dangerous world because you put us here Mitch.
Mitch McConnell: “We’re in a very, very dangerous world right now, reminiscent of before world war two,” he says. “Even the slogan is the same. ‘America First.’ That was what they said in the ’30s.”

I want everyone to remember this betrayal. At a time when we needed them most, at the threshold of a fascist like Trump taking office, when the chips were down and the left needed their alt-media powerhouses, @theyoungturks.bsky.social bowed their heads to MAGA, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk.

I got banned from @majorityreport.bsky.social
Reddit, then muted for 30 days. Even though I'm a paid subscriber. For "brigading" a sub I FUCKING PAY FOR. Fine then, fuck you guys, I'm pulling my sub. Eat a dick Sam.

It would also be profoundly un American to try and coup our government, but that never stopped Republicans before.
Sam Altman said he is not worried about Elon Musk — his former partner in founding OpenAI — and President-elect Trump hurting his business.

What's weird is there are people who actually like him for it. They literally like having a total clown in office.
it's important to keep in mind as Trump talks about annexing Canada or whatever the ridiculousness du jour is that he says all sorts of crazy shit all the time and almost none of it actually ends up happening.

I don't know if I'm just becoming more aware of it, but it seems like since either Covid or just the Trump era, the world has been becoming more and more nakedly corrupt.
What's happening in South Korea is a right wing coup.

Classic "Anti-Establishment" picks, nothing to note here.
So far, Trump’s picks for his second administration include:
-5 billionaires
-8 major donors
-9 current or former lobbyists
-11 Fox contributors
-12 people who hosted or co-hosted events at Mar-a-Lago
-17 people associated with AFPI or Project 2025

Once again showing Republicans have no standards of behavior. On one side it's "The Biden Crime Family" and on the other "There was no finding of law" for Pete Hegseth.

A key asymmetry of this era of American politics and how it’s covered is that Trump is expected to do bad and corrupt things, so when he does it barely qualifies as news. But Dems are expected to be beyond reproach, so anything that seems even slightly suspect is a huge scandal.

UPHOLDING NORMS is like engaging in CONSENTUAL SEX. BOTH SIDES need to do it! THERE IS CONSENTUAL SEX WITH ONLY ONE PERSON CONSENTING, and THERE IS NO UPHOLDING NORMS IF ONLY ONE SIDE DOES IT.

The ONLY time a MAGAt ever considers morality is when he's analyzing a Democrat's behavior.

Here is the USDA's chart on how much vegetables we import from Canada and Mexico. ALOT of the food you eat is going to get more expensive if Trump's tariffs go into place.
Start taking pictures of the prices when you go into the store. Use it as evidence in the coming years when talking to Trumpers
