Did you know that I wrote some books for teachers and you should read them? I wrote them as a call to take action and transform schools with mental health and wellbeing in mind. I'd love if you checked them out.

Has anyone written about why exactly that AI font is so ugly? I can't explain why I recoil when I see it but I know there's a font expert out there who can.

This was sooooo fun!!! It's truly amazing to think about the sole dude who created Stardew Valley making the entire game by himself AND the original composition of all the music. Sounded great in orchestral arrangements!

Maybe Nourishing Caregiver Collaborations? I just started it but it's so great so far. Caregiver engagement/literacy focus.

People sometimes ask me if it's nice to live with a pianist and hear him practicing music all the time. But he plays on his keyboard with headphones on so actually what I hear is THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK

My official statement on TLOAS: I can think something is objectively not very good art but still enjoy myself experiencing it. Both/and 🤣

My main genre from childhood through college was poetry but I hadn't written a poem in probably 10+ years. This summer I was in a multi-genre workshop group and it inspired me to start writing poems again. One just got accepted to @flaremagazine.bsky.social (coming out at the end of the month) 🥰

my cat is still upset about her (routine) vet visit yesterday and girl I understand. I also need several days to recover from going to the doctor.

It's not my business whether/how he observes. But to schedule things in a way that excludes the fans who experience the same other-ness that you did...not great. Again, is it a huge deal? Nah. But what else is social media for but venting about small deals? lol

This is so unimportant in the grand scheme of things but I'm so annoyed that Noah Kahan, who KNOWS what it's like to be one of very few Jews in VT, scheduled a rare show in VT...on Yom Kippur.

"Their language fails to hide the true message: The state does not want to help you."

Indeed. They'd prefer we just die off.

For the November/December issue of @motherjones.com, I dove into the history of the word "able-bodied"—including how it's been harmful to disabled Americans since the 1930s and it most certainly will be when Medicaid work reqs come into play again. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
