Hello new followers! I'm Kevin, game historian, science communicator, and fighting games old head. My history focus is on the early days of gaming history in particular, so I want to plug some of my work: first and foremost with my book, for sale through Limited Run (and on Amazon in paperback).

They seem genuinely convinced a future administration (or even individual states) will not go after them, and while I’ll grant historically that’s been the case I’m not sure with the degree of stuff they’re doing that I would be so nonchalant about it

In my excitement over the Protomen Act III album finally coming out, I dug up my photos from when they performed at the Painted Lady in Hamtramck, MI back in Feb 2008! It was so cold their equipment froze on the bus and kept malfunctioning. Wild to have followed them early on to where they are now.

The announcement of Act 3 reminded me of seeing the band for the first time in February 2007 in a dingy little bar in Hamtramck, where it had been so cold outside that their gear froze in the bus and didn’t quite work right. Still put on a kickass show for the 20-30 people who came out for them.
