Librarian. Frequently on the move in Toronto with Wyatt the delightful Springer.
Saw Olivia Chow and John Tory en route to Hilary Weston’s funeral at St Paul’s on Bloor. Hope there’s no fisticuffs. Big procession with mounted unit and marching band along Bloor. I went to Loblaws and bought a lime and a tomato, which is how I choose to mourn.

Wyatt stops for the camera. All the Great Lakes swimming has boosted his shag factor. It’s a lovely morning here in deep SW Ontario.

A regular summer outing when in city on weekends is early morning trips to Toronto Islands. Beaches empty and we go swimming and have great little adventures before the crowds arrive. And park staff look other way re dogs on beach/off-leash rules at that hour.

SE corner of Bay/College will charge dogs $300 should a leg be lifted. No way this guy is good for it.

This delightful rascal is 3 years old today.

Seen today while out for a stroll with dog. Sometimes think I’m days away from suggesting vigilante justice against some drivers: pedestrians armed with baseball bats smashing headlights of cars aggressively imperilling pedestrian/cyclist safety.

Wyatt resumes his post at his favourite neighbourhood summer bench.

Repost with the first album you bought with your own money.

Not blazing fast. Not globetrotting far. But for first road run in about 5 months, not bad. About 8 weeks to be prepped for a 10k.

If only land voted (to paraphrase US right wingers).

I’m not winter’s biggest fan but it was a pretty great afternoon at Cedarvale. Kids tobogganing and Wyatt with his favourite young friend.

I’m not a winter person but playing in the snow with this guy is a riot.

Spotted on Charles at Bay. Such sensible little trucks - no status like behemoth $80k pickups but their scratched beds suggest they are cut out for serious work. Brother in Australia says they’re everywhere there.

If you need a break from the world, I can recommend bowling. I’m not very good but I’d join a league just for the shirt with my name embroidered.
