everybody gets to choose one climate solution they're allowed to hate as long as they 100% support policy and infrastructure to implement it. I loathe biking (because I take it personally when people try to kill me) but bring on the protected lanes and secure bike parking

When I read that crashes were more common mid block - I thought it was a reporter error because I have read that intersections are the problem.

But knowing I read more nyc centric stuff- I did a little reading this am.

My take: It’s not really correct as written in this piece imho.

Slightly nerdy mom question::

Took my son to a tennis tournament on Randall’s Island last night — he played on green “clay” courts.

It’s not what I expected

It struck me as sand

I haven’t considered myself a geologist really in a long time- but not silty at all.

Fujiwhara?? When two hurricanes interact, they can sometimes pivot around one another. Next week there will likely be 2 tropical cyclones (perhaps 2 hurricanes) offshore. If they are strong enough, and are close enough, a #Fujiwhara may happen.
