Presumably few are consciously giving up their voice, rather they are hoping that those they support will better represent their interests.
Quite why they would believe this in the face of the obvious repurposing of government to become solely the engine of the financially powerful individual…?

Um, “ideas that may enjoy the scenery while passing through your brain” seems more appropriate.
