The Chancellor missed a lot of opportunities to turn the corner in today's budget. Freezing tax thresholds will hurt families already struggling, Sussex businesses should have been backed, and crucially Brexit damage is still being ignored. My reaction to the budget👇

The reason I hate the never ending opinion polls on what may happen at the next GE is because I think they're destabilising and damaging to our democracy. Sensible people know these polls are meaningless but the media leap on them, allowing them to set the agenda and endlessly platform Farage.

Liberal Democrat MPs just defeated Nigel Farage’s Bill in Parliament to tear up people’s rights and withdraw from the ECHR.

Farage wants to do away with the Britain Churchill built and turn it into Trump's America. We won't let him.

Thousands of miles of disused railways, canal towpaths, and green spaces lie blocked off or forgotten across the UK.

Ben will make great Mayor for Sussex. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NOMINATION!
I am honoured to have been selected as the Lib Dem candidate for Mayor of Sussex.

I want to win with unity, not division, promoting a prosperous and green future for our county.

Many people have lost all faith in politics, it's time we restored some hope.

Nobody should have to take themselves to A&E in a life and death situation because they can’t trust an ambulance to arrive in time.

We must end the Uber Ambulance Crisis - means reversing the closure of ambulance centres, and an urgent campaign to recruit, retain and train paramedics.
