Trying to navigate this facepalm kind of world.
Can you imagine living in Florida or Louisiana and finding out that your a/c unit isn't efficient so instead of hiring a certified a/c person to repair or replace, you bring in a day worker to smash it up and live in oppressive heat? Me either.

At the #hands-off protest and this guy rolls buy with the middle finger up. I assume he never read the Jesus parts.

Pictures of a sunset on Mars are circulating all over social media. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for the copier to work two days in a row.

This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start

Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.
More accurate, fewer words;

"There are plenty of contractors going under".

A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary.

PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

I got a perm so my hair will be easier to manage on my trip. Right now I am in the stage where I am not doing anything to it so the curl lasts. My student asks, "What is up with your hair? Did you get in a fight?" You have to have thick skin to be a teacher.

I did an event in IN a few weeks ago where I said that on 1/6/21 Mike Pence saved the country (for now) by being one of very very few who stood by his principles under maximum threat.
Dark Pence is back.

I know we've all seen sentiments similar to this but, truly, VeggieTales did NOT prepare me for Republican Christianity.

If you think you are having a bad day, my dog came back from the groomer looking like this. She should sue.

There's nothing inherently wrong with questioning the efficiency and need of a federal department, law, or amendment. It's the motivation behind it that is problematic. We can question the status quo without dehumanizing people. Well, some of us can.
