Sadly, the anime covers all three books out currently. There is a fourth, but it's a collection of prequel shorts about Aya solving cases with her own mentor
I downloaded all four books after a lot of sweat and pain, looking forward to reading

I always say that Grave of the Fireflies is something you have to watch once
However, I personally have seen it twice now and going to rewatch it again, so doesn't count I guess

My mom liked it, so yes

A full page dedicated to saying that Jinwoo likes it when numbers end in 0s and 5s
He's just like me fr fr
But seriously, someone HAS to tell him to balance his stats, I'm stressing for my boy here. Mr "I don't need high endurance if I just don't get hit, right?". Argh!

It took 16/21 chapters for Jinwoo to make it back home. I'm not exactly complaining, the book is fun and - my brute forcing of Korean aside - pretty easy to read. But there have been basically no characters outside of Jinwoo, and I'm ready for that to change

You bet I'm back! For now, I'll probably have another hospital stay in the near future. But for now! Reading!
I'm just past the Subway Dungeon, and, as expected, Jinwoo one shot a massive golem that a group was trying to fight. What I didn't expect was a new POV - Lee Hansu. Curiouser.

And final thread for real, all the rankings
#booksky 💙📚🪐
I'm back on the Le Guin rant to share my rankings of her books. You can see my general thoughts in the quoted thread! Let's see some numbers! (1/9)

The time has come to talk about Ursula Le Guin for the last time, an overview thread! I don't know if I'll be doing this for my future big marathons, so it might be the last time I vomit a wall of text over the book feed for a while. So! Without further ado! (1/10)

While I'm recovering at home, I figured I'll add my two overview threads to the master. I'll be replacing my pinned post in the future anyway, so this way I'll have everything in one place. Plus one final boost to the Le Guin marathon

These are my "2am and feeling sad" thoughts, but also I've had this on my mind for months now

I open bsky when I'm bored. And I instantly start to feel angry and tired. So I vow to stay in my nook. Posting about my reading, occasionally replying, liking artworks when I happen upon them. Besides that, social media is poison. I'm a spiteful, angry man. I can only bear so much hatred in my life

I'm sorry? lol

I have an old story idea I want to revive one day where MC becomes a vampire, but manages to keep good relations with her own elderly parents. They're obviously apprehensive when she first breaks the news to them, and, confused, the dad is like, "So... you'll only visit at night?"

Don't know if I'll be live posting them, though. The franchise is about half-naked (or just naked) ladies fighting against the backdrop of genuinely serious barbarian fantasy narrative. I'll think about it. Going to download them for now and keep them for a bit later

Recently watched Black Christmas for the first time and was baffled at how a movie this "modern" came out 50+ years ago (loved it btw)

Considering he retires for a couple of years after every adventure, it's just enough time for him to become a legend that the new generation doesn't believe in. And I imagine older villains have a career of going "heh, that will NEVER happen to ME"
March 17, 2025 at 4:45 AM
The real question is - which one did he watch?

Correct continent, wrong subcontinent, I ger half a point

It's an elephant in Russian, and without research I always assumed that's what the original (or Indian, idk where chess actually came from) meaning was

I'm expecting this to be a solid modern horror game, just with a Silent Hill label slapped onto it for no reason
