This Labor Day thank Frances Perkins, first woman Secretary of Labor under FDR who gave us a 40-hour work week; a minimum wage; unemployment compensation; worker’s compensation; child labor laws; unemployment relief; Social Security. Universal healthcare was on her agenda but…. Women get shit done.
