Was the State Library of Queensland forced by the state arts minister to rescind Ren Wyld's book prize & fellowship after she'd travelled to Brisbane for the ceremony? If you punish someone for opposing genocide, you need to say that out loud for the record, not just leak it to the Oz. How shameful.

9 US states now automatically invalidate anybody’s legal Advanced Care Directive if they are pregnant. Women are non-people without rights there. That’s why machines are keeping a dead woman’s lungs operating in Georgia, from the time she died, when she was 9 weeks pregnant: against family wishes.

Poor State Library of Qld: I hear it continued to stand strong for their prize and its worthy winner, @wyld.bsky.social until they got a legally-binding, mandatory directive from the Arts Minister to rescind it. Terrible position to be in. Over to publishers: this book needs to be picked up now.

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

Huzzah! Begone, one of the ugliest, crappiest, moronic, artistically meritless, in-the-way, indefensible, annoying, quarter-arsed, unnecessary & physically dangerous 'memorials' ever inflicted on the Australian public. An insult-bollard menace to logic, historical truth and bicycles.

More evidence of the health impacts of unclean air on children & young people.

“… adolescents who lived in polluted areas during early childhood… had a risk up to a third higher of reporting worse health at age 17”

UK gov is yet to set out its approach to improving air quality. More urgency pls.
Early air pollution exposure affects health in adolescence, study finds
UCL study of 9,000 children also found marked inequality, with people from ethnic minority backgrounds having higher exposure risk

Surely any Ballarat Grammar employee is unfit to look after kids if they facilitate or allow meetings/classes/living areas requiring students to be with seniors who abused & terrified them. And the boarding licence must be revoked or all abusers expelled.
