Nor was he "put on a ventilator." Because you need to be sedated to do that, and he wasn't.
He did have oxygen "as a precaution", but he was in and out of hospital within a week.

I remember the Channel 4 film, @mrjamesob.bsky.social inside a northern Italian hospital.and the awful dystopian images of sedated patients connected up to beating machines, and the morgue being overflowing.
