Sadly, a lot of the allistic world doesn't see us this way
We're viewed as a means to garner sympathy p*rn for having to endure us, be around us, be parents of us

we're living interesting times. Eg I'm grateful I wasn't seen as autistic as a kid, it would've done more harm than good. There was a period where that improved immensely & now it's of iffy value again thanks to a wave of violent fash that want to claw back every pro-social gain of the last 100yrs
Like, very obviously, many things have improved! My kids get accommodations in school that would have been unthinkable in the 90s! Gay marriage is, right now, legal! If you spend all day thinking about how much worse things are you're basically talking yourself into being a reactionary

It’s unscientific to suggest a null hypothesis is that two random things have an association. This basic tenet of the scientific method is that there is no association between two things. A burden of proof is needed to justify that two random things have an association (vaccines and autism).
