I do agree with your sentiment though, I don't revisit this album as much anymore.

I wish I could have seen them live in my lifetime (And thanks for indirectly putting me on)

Ah that makes more sense. And I agree—the 2nd best thing you can do is to just wait for Godot mature (And the best thing is to get involved, make games and help it mature)

I've had a great experience making my first large scale 3D game so far. It's not perfect but 4.4 is a great release for 3D (with 4.5 bringing some cool features for FPS games that makesme wanna update...)

I usually make my own assets though.

I'd say that in both cases each room should be saved as its own scene. If it makes sense, you can have one world scene that contains all the room scenes, but there's nothing wrong with loading each room as you need it as long as you handle it well!
