Senate Republicans blocked a resolution demanding full funding for SNAP benefits.

This, as Trump still refuses to fully restore SNAP to 42 million Americans.

As we head into the midterms, don't forget: GOP lawmakers are fully complicit with Trump's weaponization of hunger.

When my family was poorest we were so desperate that last week before SNAP reloaded, and Michael would walk out to the store late at night and swipe the EBT card at midnight and bring home food. It's NOT a lot of money. People are hungry with or without it, but they will starve without.
SNAP provides $2 a meal for kids, working people, and seniors.

Over 20,000 Texans in my district could lose their SNAP benefits because of Trump’s budget bill.

Trump and Republicans are giving tax cuts to billionaires by stealing food from the hungry.

See, most of the time when people say something is Orwellian, they are full of it. This, on the other hand, is actually Orwellian.
I feel like every day, I'm seeing more and more examples of this in real time.

ICE was at Dodgers Stadium. This is a fact that has been documented by protestors and the national news.

Except ICE is now denying it on X and saying it wasn't them. It's government gaslighting in real time.

Today’s decision out of Rhode Island isn’t getting a lot of attention, but it’s very important. Trump tried to withhold fed’l funds from states that won’t help with his immigration policy & mass deportations. A Judge just told him he can’t do that. open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

Here's the truth about tax cuts for the rich.

They explode the federal debt, fuel giant profits at the biggest firms and financial institutions, and stoke a surge in billionaire wealth, but do nothing for average working people.

Nothing trickles down.

Why are national press not buttonwholing Republicans in Congress as they leave meetings-- asking them on video what they think about the EO orders to...you name it.

The media is giving these "traitors to the Constitution" way too easy a "pass of silent acquiesence"

I’m about to board my flight to El Salvador, where I hope to meet with senior government officials to discuss the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

I also hope to see Kilmar and check on his condition — and remind him that we won’t stop fighting until he’s home.

Since the beginning I’ve said that Elon and his DOGE tech bros know the real value in pillaging these federal agencies is in the data, but not to raid your bank accounts.

It’s to influence the outcome of our elections.
“…members of the DOGE team asked that their activities not be logged on the system and then appeared to try to cover their tracks behind them, turning off monitoring tools and manually deleting records of their access…”

What kind of shady s**t is going on here??

A whistleblower tells Congress and NPR that DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data and hid its tracks. "None of that ... information should ever leave the agency," said a former NLRB official.

Either the courts get to decide who is a “violent criminal” or “gang member”, or Donald Trump gets to decide.

That choice determines whether we are a Republic governed by laws or an autocracy living under a ruler.
