I can't quite perceive it from this linked article where the subject's daughter discusses these artifacts and her father, but it's impossible for me to look at these photographs and see them as anything other than artifacts of oppression, fear, and longing of what could never be.

One of the best essays I've read about my experience interviewing.

In retrospect, I'd have to say I was wildly too YAGNI during "architecture interviews." My mistake for thinking complexity is really a tech debt timebomb. At least in an interview.
