The idea of him wishing Claire was more resistant is so interesting to me — like he's both sad that she's so accustomed to war and things going wrong, and also wants her to push back because he won't refuse the call of duty on his own behalf but would as an act of care for her 💜

Even if for some reason it keeps being kinda scrunchy and uneven at the edges, the double crochet bonanza of big granny square plus shell stitch is very relaxing!
