And why no U-turn on the daftest, most damaging ‘pledge’ of all?

There’s a very ‘pragmatic’ £90bn in increased revenue per annum available - more than enough to turn the economy around

If we #RejoinTheSingleMarket

Or even rejoin the EU? At the very least improve the economy by rejoining the customs union and single market.

They don’t need a majority in the House of Lords. Convention is that if it’s in the manifesto the Lords won’t oppose it.

Have a wonderful time with your little one!

As a manifesto pledge we voted for this change from the Labour Party (amongst others) and now it’s not happening. Beginning to feel like we are being ripped off.

I accept that there have been some good things but the bad are outweighing them at the moment.

Born in Lancashire, always a Lancashire lass as well as a Liverpudlian. Merseyside? Forced on us!

And now he’s trying a bit of gaslighting to see if he can get away with it. Nope 👎

I think we can guess what they are for ourselves

Impressive that they are booking that far ahead!

The greed and ambition of 2 narcissists led to the success of Brexit, playing into Putin's hands isolating Britain and weakening alliances. Farage for years worked against the interests of this nation, Johnson used Brexit to become PM. Their greed left us globally diminished and our economy wrecked

Shame on her

I suspect he would have managed to bungle it even without the pandemic.

The Isle of Wight is too good for them

Which was even more of a disgrace given the narrow majority in favour.

No, he gets paid handsomely for the privilege

So much for supporting environmental initiatives..

Did they learn nothing from the Covid pandemic about who are the essential workers in this country?
November 20, 2025 at 10:27 PM
I don’t think that’s true
November 20, 2025 at 10:01 AM
Actually I think they have basically said it. I’m pretty sure Rachel Reeves did. It’s worse because, having said it, they still aren’t going to do anything about it! They seem willing to consider abandoning many of their manifesto pledges but not the ones about the single market or customs union.

So true

These days you need both. Zac Polanski has shown that performance does help.

Also Ken Clarke

Me too. I never emailed my MP before brexit, now I’m doing it so often. At least this one replies. The last one didn’t bother.
