I am willing to make some sacrifices, including paying higher taxes to cover social programs for Canadians who aren't as well off as I am. What I am not willing to sacrifice: Indigenous rights, a healthy environment and a liveable planet. Will watch the full speech and keep an eye out for details.

Roads would probably, if asked, prefer gentler uses like cycling (for which paved roads were developed) over pothole-inducing, surface crushing cars.

I worked in downtown Toronto in 1992. Skipped off work to go to the parade with a colleague. My claim to fame was calling out Candy Maldonado's name just like the announcer and getting a grin and a nod from him. This is close to my reaction 👇
