The fundamental question is whether it is very hard or not

Very confusing why the response here is not just to lift the floor rather than to impose a cap. Although I suppose some would say it is not confusing at all.

My sole consolation in these situations has been that I write it faster and better when I have to start over.

Maybe we can stuff him on that infamous luggage handler they have there

Perhaps they are just tired

Could be smart given Nix’s inability to throw to the sticks

Agreed although if somebody said they were just planning on Mitchell being injured and trying to work around that I guess I couldn’t really argue.

Picking up Vaughn’s option remains a bit surprising to me but I guess they either trade him or figure he is hitting in some form every day, and Bauers also has not been a paragon of health.

Yeah I cannot think of a single reason why Bauers is in the OF when Chourio, Mitchell, and Frelick are available.

I like to remind people, now and then, that Dan Turkenkopf helped build DRA @baseballprospectus.com, and about 15 minutes later, he was hired by the #Brewers. The stuff DRA likes, the Brewers often like, too. Angel Zerpa's DRA- the last three years: 96, 90, 74.

Oh yes. I saw the quotes a few months back. Either Kasten or some Guggenheim person.

Incidentally, the team whose manager and owners are saying the most about a salary cap being great? The Dodgers.

It’s a bait and switch: small markets “win” a salary cap by trading years of player control, then big markets sign more stars away from small markets sooner and pay less to do it.

Price for a shorter contract I assume

Agreed!

He can’t hit 93+ mph fastballs and has no defensive position. Likelihood he gets carved up is unfortunately quite good. Should look great on the Bananas though.
