I love that as we approach Winter Solstice there are still so many red berries on the trees and shrubs. Today I cotoneaster (a member of the rose family), rowan (aka mountain ash), and hawthorn. Wikipedia notes that all three are related.

Prepping materials for my next book project…It is based on a YouTube tutorial for a refillable lay-flat sketchbook by #bittermelonbindery. I’m making a smaller version for travel, and plan to make a larger version too.

Today’s experiment. I applied a W/C wash onto each paper strip (1 pink, 1 blue, 2 different yellows), then left to dry. I then topped with soap suds, dabbing various W/Cs onto the suds. I wonder how they’ll look once the bubbles have dried? The last image was taken accidentally by my iPhone ❤️🤩

I would love to know what Tom Smothers would have said about the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert… I still remember the shock of CBS cancelling The Smothers Brothers Comedy hour in 1969, clearly for political reasons.
