Helpful illustration of the US military aid to Ukraine already paid for and in the pipeline. If this continues despite Trump deciding "he is out", it's not terrible for Ukraine. Especially if they (and their European partners) are also allowed to purchase weapons at US manufacturers.

I am a very progressive/liberal kind of guy, mainly in what comes to social issues and define myself as woke, in the proper non-toxic meaning of it, as I'm fully aware that many non-white people of this world has been oppressed by the (mostly European) white man, BUT (cont.)

This is just the latest stupid thing he said about Ukraine and russia in a ever increasing list of stupid things.
But after Sunday's attack on Sumy he has said it was by mistake (i.e. not on purpose), he said "he's no angel but Putin respects me" and is now again blaming Ukraine.

I'm trying to dial back on social media but I find it difficult because even though I also use it for leisure and keeping track of friends and family like many others, I also find social media to be a good source of information namely information not commonly shared by mainstream media.

As I said when I saw this and shared it on "the Xittier platform", Michael's gr at insights can be resumed to this analogy: we shouldn't use the fact that we can't ride in the Tour de France as excuse to stop us from riding a bicycle and incrementally increase the distance we cycle.
Brief thoughts on a European force for Ukraine. I think there is a degree of requirements paralysis. It doesn’t have to be hundreds of thousands of troops, or cover a 1200km contact line. Where it is deployed, and in what role, is more important than the overall size. 1/
