This is so ridiculous that I checked three times to see if it was some kind of parody

What exactly is MTG trying to conserve?

Well said - Atlas is an anti-web browser www.anildash.com//2025/10/22/...

(I'm less sure about point #2, but strongly agree with #1 and #3)

I did not realize the app is freely licensed. That's great
1. Bluesky doesn’t downrank links
2. You can choose your own algorithm from among thousands
3. The whole app is open source

This keeps it a free and open platform by design, leading to better click-throughs and traffic to your site.

We 💙 the open web.

Because you can find almost anything on the internet, it's a perfect confirmation bias machine. If you go looking for what evil things the "other side" is saying, you'll find some for sure.

This moment cements my emerging view that I am so much better off without Twitter, BlueSky, or even, sadly, Mastodon

This wasn't a war plan, it was just an attack plan. We didn't start a war. We just attacked them.

I'm not sure if "no new wars" can work as a talking point anymore if Trump runs for a third term

I spent the afternoon writing a short string arrangement for a cover I'm working on, first time since 2021. Hoping to be reading to release this recording in June...

I took a look at MuseScore, but returned to trusty old Rosegarden because the ability to score against an audio file is essential

NEW: White House sources and court documents reviewed by Axios reveal allegations that Kilmar Abrego Garcia abused his wife on several occasions.

The information is strengthening the Trump’s administration’s resolve to prevent Garcia’s return to the U.S.
Newly revealed abuse allegations fuel White House's resistance to return Abrego Garcia
Garcia's mistaken deportation to an El Salvador prison is key to the legal and political fight over Trump's immigration policy and due process for undocumented immigrants.

Imagine for a moment the Republican reaction if a Democratic president had bragged that imposing sky-high taxes on American businesses and consumers was “making us rich.”
REPORTER: Is there anything the prime minister said that changed your mind potentially about tariffs?

TRUMP: No. Tariffs are making us rich. We were losing a lot of money under Biden.

I'm years behind in my podcast queue, and currently working my way through April 2020. It's like watching a movie when you know what's going to happen to the characters, I can't help but talk to my device.

"You're not even close to 'halfway through' this!"

"It's airborne!!"
