West of Vienna, we have done an absolute miserable job educating the public on Communist tyranny, it's mechanisms of repression, depoliticisation, and authoritarian playbook. Heck, in some academic circles, it's considered downright heretical to describe communism as a system of oppression.
All people learn about is the Gulags & famines, nothing else.
