“To try to express one’s position in regard to the universe embraced by consciousness, is an immemorial urge. The arms of consciousness reach out…while the scientist sees everything that happens in one point of space, the poet feels everything that happens in one point of time.”

If you wait long enough, so-called sensitive men will tell you what they really think of you, whether its not cool, ugly, or a liar.
I can live with being a cool ugly person who tells the truth

Every few weeks we gotta make posts like this”call your dem reps to tell them to not vote to allow Lord Killdude to shove people into a volcano” and then the dem reps go “we’ve made an amazing deal where Lord Killdude can have his volcano so long as he promises not to shove people into it”

"The Miraculous Day of Amalia Gomez" by John Rechy. Read it as a teen and its portrait of the living Catholic faith of an elderly Mexican immigrant mother in L.A touched me. The book explores immigration, rape, and queer issues.

There is also a very rare belief that the Palestinian djinn are abandoned, rejected human beings that were miraculously saved from death by God hiding them in another dimension. It reminds me of beliefs abt the Tuatha de Danaan having once been inhabitants of Ireland.

Loving today's news that the mysterious "fedora man" outside the Louvre heist was actually a 15-year-old museum visitor who dresses like a 1940s French detective all the time, just because. apnews.com/article/louv...

"God gave her very great gifts and imposed upon her great burdens. She bore them all with dignity and grace and uncommon common sense. In the end, she cared most about being a good mother to her children, and the lives of Caroline and John leave no doubt that she was that and more."

I'm very grateful for my mom's wound-care nurse who comes three times a week. It's the only social interaction I get outside my family and bluesky. I still take care of my mom, who's pretty much helpless. Its nice to have someone to talk to and lighten the burden. 🙏🙏

I hate how when you're single, some women have to mention their boyfriends all the time as if they think singleness is contagious or you might be gay. I'm not a lesbian, I'm just single.
