Supposedly improving health conditions in their LTC home for elderly clients, but NO mention of installing clean air ventilation throughout the building, adding HEPA air purifiers to each room, or masking by staff and residents during outbreaks.

Let’s do this in ON with clean energy sources! Looking forward to more Quebec produce. The lettuce, celery and tomatoes this summer were tasty!
Loved this story, not least because I learned that finger limes, the world's weirdest fruit, are being grown a few kms from my house!
Are we ready for Canadian bananas?
All across Canada, adventurous farmers are experimenting by growing exotic fruits.

“Shazam!”, shouts little girl dressed like an angel, “For unto you a child is born …”
The remake of this film is enjoyable, but the original is so much more fun and meaningful. It’s a keeper.
The mother is played by Loretta Swift, who passed away in May 2025.

Looks like Santa is just about ready to fly through any kind of weather to bring toys to good little boy and girls and fill their stockings.
After my Mom's 14th birthday, her Mom said that this set was her last Christmas present. I am glad to have it now. I think Rudolph must have been added later!

Yay! A great day for blueberry pancakes and maple syrup or waffles with maple butter. While on vacation in Scotland, I was so happy to learn that even the Isle of Skye and Edinburgh served Canadian maple syrup!
Happy Maple Syrup Day!
Canada produces 80% of the world's pure maple syrup, and Quebec produces 91% of Canada's maple syrup.
It is something that is quintessentially Canadian.
This is its history.

Ford closed the science centre for no reason, is shrinking it dramatically, and gov’t doesn’t want you to know the truth about this.

Jack and Lorraine Herman were well known potters in Kleinburg. Their home was often a gathering place for Canadian artists and authors. We are fortunate to have a few pieces of their pottery. Lorraine created this lovely Nativity scene using ceramic clay.

Great employment news overall for Canada.
In ON, not so much. 200,000 workers now need employment. Today, Ford’s announcement of 275 new jobs to make plastic bottles is just a drop in the bucket. 🪣
Besides, we don’t need more production that pollutes our environment.
Doug Ford is a jobs disaster and these new numbers make that clearer than ever. Ontario lost thousands of manufacturing jobs last month, and the province led the entire country in losses in wholesale and retail trade. Families are feeling the hit in every community. #onpoli
