Not a musician.
On trails, point your big bright headlights down, not into the eyes of oncoming cyclists.

(Bluesky search is pretty bad, that J makes you almost unfindable)

I tagged the wrong Matt Rodrigues 🤦‍♂️

I should know better given that I myself am the wrong Paul Baribeau

Update: it has been packed down by pedestrians struggling through it. A large plow is clearing the empty parking lot. There's 30cm of snow coming tomorrow, so this is only going to get worse.

That makes sense to me, but to my knowledge the province doesn't own infill candidate land around transit stations in KW?

I saw an ad this week on CBC Power & Politics ( @davidwcochrane.bsky.social ) that was essentially "We need to build big things. Make Canada strong. Paid for by the Government of Canada."

Even if Parliament had approved it, it felt like naked partisan sloganeering paid for by tax dollars. Icky.

I think that a non-trivial number of politicians who publicly advocate for subways (only) also inwardly believe that subways are financially untenable, and are thus actually using the language of transit development to knowingly push for transit funding cuts

Ottawa has so many schools directly on arteries rather than 1 block off arteries like the city I was a teen in.

Jeanne d'Arc was planned as a traffic mover but has 2 elementary schools and a high school within about 5 blocks. Kids lose with these conflicted designs.

When Metrolinx comes to KW for public consultations, their staff drive down the 401 from Toronto. The Kitchener line doesn't go at convenient enough times for them. (The staff I spoke to about this appreciated the irony of it)

Purple = LRT
Green = Hospital
Blue = Hospital staff parking
Orange = Dead-end MUT
Red = No sidewalk
Yellow = Nearest crosswalk

Literally 170m of sidewalk (or ideally MUT) would vastly improve active transportation for hundreds of people per day, but no one can figure out how to make it happen.

All this talk about Finch LRT though does suddenly have me thinking again that ION should go faster in the core spans, between Erb St and Mill Station. I know car drivers illegally pull in front of it constantly, but also, 🤷‍♂️

(I also hope Phase 2 avoids 90 degree corners; those are painfully slow)

Panic sweating in Kitchener right now, because we use them for bus priority signals too

What do you mean by code based 2FA? The Libro app offers SMS 2FA. Meridian also offers Phone call and app-based:

He's right — it's how you go from a disgraced journalist forced out for "selling" art to your interview subjects, to 10 years later a cabinet minister hired by one of your art customers.

Maybe sometimes it's not good to be right, though?
