I was very excited by the release of Happy Gilmour 2. It didn't disappoint. It's brilliant. Nods to the past, pays homage to those who passed. Plenty out loud laughs. How they got so many players to feature is testament to the warmth felt about the first film. Special mention to Scottie Scheffler.

Wow!! Ann-Katrin Berger, the German goalkeeper, has just made one of the best saves in football. Then smashes home a penalty. Then saves the final one in sudden death. One of THE great performances by a footballer. Congratulations Germany. Looking forward to semi-finals.

A walk along Riverside yesterday morning. There's something about the winter sunrise down there. Until I looked over these photos, I didn't realise that the bent iron girders of the collapsed bridge are still attached to their stump and visible.
