I’ve received my copy of Widow’s Point!! I’m so ready to start this beauty today. The dust cover is slightly textured 🤩 I think this is my fourth Chizmar novel~ It arrived wrapped in a sheet of other indie book recommendations, too, which is cool! I added the blurb in the first image ALT text!~

“Longtime residents of Harper’s Cove believe that something is wrong with the Widow’s Point Lighthouse. Some say it’s cursed. Others claim it’s haunted.
During its construction in 1838 three workers were killed, including one who mysteriously plunged to his death from the catwalk. That tragic accident was never explained, and it was just the beginning of the terror. In the decades that followed, nearly two dozen additional deaths occurred in or around the lighthouse, including cold-blooded murder, suicide, unexplained accidents and disappearances, the slaughter of an entire family, and the inexplicable death of a Hollywood starlet who was filming a movie on the grounds.

Whenever drink makers add just the right amount of everything in my vanilla-pumpkin-caramel drizzle frozen drink, it tastes exactly how the store my mom and I used to go to that sold candles and small figurines and "angel mints" smelt. It is EXACT. Other times it just tastes like pumpkin ice cream.

I finished this beautiful story yesterday and I don't think I ever have or will read something like this again (unless HS2 is green-lit!!) ((crossing my fingers)) I adored the characters and the art is stunning. If you can, you should treat yourself to Hello Sunshine this spooky season.

My partner and I finished the Catching Fire audiobook (2/3 of The Hunger Games) and I’m so excited to have him know the whole story. I can show him the movies and the memes and we can talk about it all with a mutual understanding at long last 😭😭

Writing is not a uniform. It's a dressing-up box, from which you can pick and choose what fits, in order to create your own, unique look. Remember that what fits someone else may not be at all right for you.

Finished! I love how the glass turned out. These two are from the oldest storyline I have. I need to work on their story more, lol~ These boys roll around in my head like marbles. This may be one of my favorite works I've done of them together! *So far.

A digital art piece (made in Krita) of two of my characters, River and Mauran. They are all-black silhouettes, standing in from of semi-opaque, textured glass windows. (The windows are on the upper portions of swinging doors.) River, the taller figure on the left, faces the audience and wears a tailored suit - although that may be hard to tell with no definition. One of his arms is extended toward Mauran. Mauran, shorter and on the right, faces the door he's in front of and shushes River with the common one-finger gesture. Behind the glass, you can only vaguely see lights on the ceiling and an empty floor ahead. My reference was a screen-shot from the horror film "Jeepers Creepers" (2001)
