Haruhi Suzumiya is, as has been pointed out to me, a comedic take on the autistic girl many remember from high school.

And while I have issues with how she as a character is made to not reflect super well on that, I still love her, such an agent of chaos.

In 2005, another manga adaptation of Haruhi would launch, this time from Gaku Tsugano. This adaptation would run for 8 years and 105 chapters, and is the one you’re likely familiar with.

It’s also officially the first adaption. Maybe. Kinda.

So remember Ben and Holly? (aka that one show the creators of Peppa Pig made) did anyone noticed a reference to Suzumiya Haruhi in on scene in the No Magic Day episode.

I also noticed a house that resembles Peppa's house but more smaller.

Seems like an anime fan was working in this episode.
