Game 59: Omensight

This one came as a recommendation and I loved the timeloop and detective angle the story threw at me.

Gameplay is on the simple side, but that's fine considering the game's overall length.

Actually this game coulda been shorter and I feel like I would have liked it better.

3. Omensight

A wonderful time loop murder mystery with some fun simple combat and great performances. It tries to do a lot and mostly succeeds, I was locked in my seat the whole time and one of the few games I wish I could forget as the mystery is so important.

25. Favorite video game is Omensight. It's a sort of high-fantasy spiritual detective game where you aren't allowed to talk.

It's a beautifully told story from a studio I would honestly put on par with Supergiant. Check it out.

Omensight is a cool video game with phenomenal art and design, and is a great storytelling experience, and Kladen is one of the coolest swords ever, so this was a long overdue art for me XD

I am reminded of when I played Omensight years ago. I had thought it so interesting, even daring to make a time loop-centered fantasy game where even the best possible ending is a real downer for all the characters.

Then, uh, the developers told me they just hadn’t put the golden ending in yet.

Haruhi Suzumiya is, as has been pointed out to me, a comedic take on the autistic girl many remember from high school.

And while I have issues with how she as a character is made to not reflect super well on that, I still love her, such an agent of chaos.
