One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home.

Things fall apart, the center cannot hold
And a blood-dimmed tide is loosed upon the world
Shaped like a lion, it has the head of a man
With a gaze as blank and pitiless as the sun
For what is this rough beast, its hour come at last
Slouching towards Bethlehem to be born

“After baby Amalia had been hospitalized for 10 days, ICE thought this baby should be returned to Dilley, where she was denied access to the medicines that the hospital doctors told her she needed."
NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress.

“She was at the brink of dying,” a lawyer told me.

But the girl didn’t go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.

ICE has grabbed so many people from their vehicles that there are abandoned cars across Minnesota.

This tow truck driver returns the cars for free as a public service, and he’s been getting death threats.

They hate the helpers.

Which is why must keep helping.
Twin Cities tow truck driver returns abandoned vehicles to families after ICE arrests
Juan Leon sends a "chase" car to check out where abandoned vehicles are located and arranges discreet drop-offs. Since late December, he estimated they have dropped off 250 cars.

Trump's attempt to crush a religious uprising might be obvious if the press corps treated everyone’s faith as equally authentic, hence equally legitimate. It doesn’t.

The fact that AI boosters always go to “but art is EXPENSIVE” is telling.

Most people started with crayons, lined school paper, cheap pencils, ballpoint pen, the back of junk mail and misprinted pages.

Art supplies can be outrageous but you can make art with literal trash
"I need AI to make art, human art is only for the rich and privileged-"

I really hate "AI is a tool of proletarian revolution" because, no, actually AI is a tool of the fascist industrialist class who wants to turn the economy fully into a rentier economy where the proletariat are nothing more than extraneous meat from which to extract profit.
