Save for an overlooked information board, there is nothing left to suggest the horrifying scenes that took place at Abergavenny Castle one Christmas in the late twelfth century
Blood in the snow: The Christmas massacre at Abergavenny Castle
Sitting high above the River Usk, with panoramic views as far as the Blorenge, Sugarloaf and Skirrid mountains, lie the crumbling walls of what was once a formidable castle built by the Norman Lord,…

Also: where’s the fecking investigation, Keir Starmer?

The Welsh parliament, Nigel Farage, @prifweinidog.gov.wales @eddavey.libdems.org.uk & @zackpolanski.bsky.social are all now in agreement that we need a govt-led inquiry into Russian interference. So what on earth is the problem??

Ok President Trump, if you sue the BBC for $1bn for spreading lies, I’ll sue you for the same amount. I reckon Planet Earth would crowdfund that. Then I’ll buy Mar A Largo, turn it into a climate change research centre, free Melania, and put a 1000% tariff on orange face paint.

Fantastic response from @zackpolanski.bsky.social on the disgraceful refusal by Government to put money into the tropical forest fund
Trevor Philips, "Prime Minister Keir Starmer is coming back from #COP30 having refused to put money into the tropical forest fund on the grounds that we can't afford it. He's right, isn't he?"

Zack Polanski, "No, it's outrageous. When it comes to climate, we have to look at the cost of inaction"

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social says it’s ‘peculiar’ that the case of Farage ally Nathan Gill admitting to making pro-Russia speeches for cash isn’t being followed more closely.

A reminder.

Only 6.9% of people in Wales were born overseas.

Just 2.9% of people in Caerphilly were born overseas.

Whereas 38% of medical consultants in Wales were born overseas.

Between the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them
