The editor of @bcsmagazine.bsky.social once said this:
"...don't bend your own style so far that it saps the individuality that your voice in my opinion has. A vivid and unique sense of voice to me is a rare and precious thing, that makes a writer's fiction come alive."

That's stuck with me.

"Woman Like Stone Like Water" is my pleistocene ghost story in @bcsmagazine.bsky.social, but nobody's yet invented ghosts or mysteries so it isn't very scary

Oh my god I can't BELIEVE that I made this mistake. I was so careful, too! I'll make the corrections where I can. I'm so sorry, and so embarrassed.

Thanks for your work on this story; it was such a delight to narrate.

No worries! I've done this exact one too. :)

Thank you for the kind words! And for your work on this one and all of the podcast; to me it comes through that you love the stories and sharing them, just like we do.

I understand. Beneath Ceaseless Skies publishes longer work though, and I've loved working with Scott.

Ooh, I'll check it out!

What I meant above by my usual method is that I love stumbling across stories published in places like @uncannymagazine.bsky.social and @bcsmagazine.bsky.social and then reading them on the e-reader rather than a phone or computer. So for me it's a value add!
