Done. Here was my script: "This is Bright Limm, constituent in Jamaica, Queens. I urge the governor to publicly support—and commit to signing—the New York for All Act. If she does not, please know: I will most certainly be supporting her challenger in the primary instead."

Done. Friends, make your calls; every staffer on the Hill will tell you: if there are enough of them, they will make a difference. 🙏

Friends, time to beat my #TaxTheRich drum again. Because of the snowstorm in NYC starting tomorrow, this weekend's TTR canvasses were switched to phone-bank shifts. Sign up here:

👉 act.ourtime.nyc/phonebank-for-childcare-and-tax-the-rich

I'll be co-leading the one starting in a half-hour (12pm).

FYI: unlike other parties, @workingfamilies.org actually pushes people running for Congress to block more funding for ICE, not vote for it.
January 23, 2026 at 12:59 AM
NY-06, the district for which @chuckforqueens.bsky.social is running, is a battleground for intra-Dem, Left vs Establishment politics.

How NY-06 is represented on ICE, capitalism, and especially Israel-Palestine will disproportionately affect the rest of the city. This is a race worth investing in.

Just learned about @poll.blue's free polling tool and created this poll. Pretty handy! Thanks to the 15 folks who've already replied. (Results are tracked here: poll.blue/p/tlA1P2?v=0)

Eric Adams under-budgeted NYC expenses by $3.8 billion for the current budget. In short, we're now facing about a $2B NYC gap for the current fiscal year.

Zohran won't push the governor to raise taxes on the rich; it's up to us to move Albany. Sign up to canvass or phone-bank: ourtime.nyc/events

My partner and I treated ourselves today by retreating from NYC for the day and headed to Kaaterskill Falls for a hike and (vegetarian) BBQ. We experienced both fire and ice.

In New York, 2026 is the year we tax the rich.

The moon was really something last night. I don't have a real camera, but it was so nice to look at that I took this with my phone last night.

Yep, honeymoon's over. Z's a fallible person, like the rest of us. Course it's easier to keep this in mind if you knew him before.

So in the public interest: here's a much more down-to-earth photo of him from before he was even an Assembly member.

Having seen the NYC Left's struggle for power for over 20 yrs and participated in this struggle myself for the past 18, I know @nywfp.bsky.social's Ana María Archila is right: it took us 20+ years to get to this moment. Thanks to both today's comrades and to the prior ones who made today possible.

RESOLVED: We will do the work needed to get our state reps and Governor Hochul to tax the rich this year to fund childcare for everyone.

New Yorkers, please sign this letter to your state reps and then share with others you know in NY. Our goal is 25K this month.

It's a new day for NYC. Happy new year, friends and comrades. Let's tax the rich, win childcare for everyone, and build even more organization and governing power for the Left in 2026.

It's Day 5 of @osterforus.bsky.social's campaign! I skipped Day 4 for 🎄 but am back and will share another photo :)

Here's Oster last week at Linden Blvd and 180th, continuing to show up against a planned lithium-battery farm in St. Albans.

He's been active in environmental-justice work for years.

It's Day 3 of @osterforus.bsky.social's campaign, so I'll share another photo of Oster.

Here's Oster at an Oct 2024 meeting of the St. Albans Civic Improvement Association, which he's led for years.

With him is NY WFP's Jasmine Gripper, who asked civic members to vote on the Working Families line.

It's Day 2 of @osterforus.bsky.social campaign, so allow me to share another fact about (and photo of) Oster. Here he is with Zohran, and the wonderful Whiteheads, in early June.

If you know St. Albans + Cambria Heights, you know: supporting Zohran in early June wasn't easy to do. But that's Oster.

Perry Bacon is one of ~15 influential commentators I follow because I consistently find his perspective oriented toward organizing.

Just finished this @higheredlabor.bsky.social report and agree: this report puts forth an assessment and vision for higher ed around which to construct a new majority.

Repeating this point since nearly every week I still hear an otherwise well-informed comrade or journalist get this wrong:

Cuomo didn't lose to just 1 candidate in the primary; he likely lost to 3.

To form + execute sound strategy for future RCV races, more of us on the Left must grasp this fact.
